It is a sign of a good leader, if kimmiq only gets tough when necessary.
Ila will develop good self-esteem.
Was kimmiq educated with other dogs or did you educate her?

Kimmiq was unfortunately a rescue / recovery.
Gave her to a family whose background I had not checked (first and only time).
I brought her back home, but by the time I trained he negative behavior out of her she was to old to place.
So she grew up / lived with her parents until they passed:

Amaruq (aka Boogs aka The BoogyMan). 1/2 Yukon North Slope Timber Wolf, 1/2 NWT Alaskan Husky. 145 lbs at fighting weight. My constant Companion for nearly 12 years.

Asuilu. Boogs' mate and my Lady's perpetual sidekick for 11 years. 1/2 Victoria Island Arctic Wolf, 1/4 German Shepherd & 1/4 Lab:

Strong background for Kimmiq which she is definitely passing along.

Cheers

Boogs had fairly short hair for his breed, although it did get longer in the winters.
He also had the wolf characteristic of extremely dense & fine under-fur. So much so he floated high & dry like a cork when swimming.

So true!
