Happy Veterans Day

Post by Hatchet »

Today is the day we set aside to honor our veterans.
We thank them for their service and sacrifice to our great country. If you have a veteran on your mind today feel free to post up their name, branch of the military they served in and a brief word about what they, or their experience means to you.

In remembrance
Karl Hartley
USMC
Karl was a crossbow hunter, a farmer, a woodworker and a good friend.
He will be on our mind today as we prowl the woods looking for that buck of a lifetime.

Pretty much sums it up for me. This is the foot stone at Dad's grave site. Placed there by the local VFW.

My Dad was proud of his service. He was one of 2 crew members that survived being shot down over Korea. He walked with a limp all the days of my life. But he never complained.

My Grandfather served in WW1. My son is a Lifer in the Marines. He will soon retire with 25 years of service. I have a granddaughter in the Air Force.

A very heartfelt "THANKS" to ALL who have ever served!!
