Bulldog rail self surgery

Post by longbow joe »

I'm no stranger to working with metal especially alluminum being in the glass buisness for years l worked with a lot of window frames and entry doors.
So after a few beers l was in the garage and got measurements and figures and lubed up the hacksaw for rail cutting.
Everything came perfect holes lined up the only thing l have to do is get the thickness of the top decked out to a thinner measurement l have a friend who can do that at work on a machine honestly it wasn't that hard l just didn't want to screw it up.
Just needed some liquid encouragement lol.
I estimate it's gonna be a 335 or 340 from my measurements anywhere around there is just fine for me

The old cut off was used as a template it really helped.
I was worried about the gap between rail and riser but l nailed it.
I think l just got lucky...or l would have just kept cutting my way to a vixen.or sapphire bulldog...lolol

I haven’t ever cut a front end back but I made a regular Matrix a Bulldog. Non ferrous metal cutting blade on a Unisaw( I’m a tablesaw guy). Had to finish up just a tad at corners w a file. Worked like a champ.! Stock was hard part, I made a Gen I Micro stock into a Bulldog stock. That’s being hardheaded there! Lot of work. I love the playing w these.

If you only had a beer left does that mean you drank 11 beers. ??
