Rechargeable batteries for lumenoks

Yesterday the batteries arrived and tonight I had them charging, in the morning they were already fully charged. Now it remains to be seen how long they keep the lumenoks on...

I can't find differences in brightness between rechargeable and non-rechargeable.


I have put them in some cut arrow tubes to see when they start to lose light and how many hours they last on.

I have seen the regular non rechargeable Lumenok batteries last 5.5 days till fully extinguished. Looking forward to the results of your test.

That’s a good, practical test, Paul. I’m curious about one feature, however. What would happen if you retested six months and let’s say a year later, would both batteries HOLD a charge equally during storage?

Personally, as long as they last at least 24 hours and last for many cycles, I'll be happy. If they last longer then happier!!
I'll use the factory ones for hunting and the rechargeable ones for training.

I don't know how long these rechargeable batteries are ready for storage, so I wouldn't know how to answer. But with me they will not go more than a month without use.

Original lumenoks are $5.25 a pair.
Private label non-rechargeable batteries are around €2-3 a pair.
These rechargeables cost me €4.56 a pair with the charger.


If they last 5 days of use, in one or more cycles, they would already be economically amortized, if they last longer, because it depends on the duration, you would be saving money...
And my personal reason, besides economic savings, is to use the least amount of disposable products.
I wish this product was made in the USA or the EU, but today ALL the batteries we already know where they are made... Including the "original" ones from Lumenok, even though they put their logo on them, I doubt very much that they are Made in the USA.

It is just my opinion...

You have proved the economy of using rechargeables.
If they prove out for holding a long term charge, that would make them a no brainer on all considerations. Knowing that they held a full charge for the entire hunting season would be one less thing to think about, especially for those who have long hunting seasons.
When you buy a single use battery, there is no way that I know of, that you can estimate how much battery life remains. You buy them and hope for the best.
If you recharge a battery and it’s good for at least a year, that would be a comfort to know. It would make the rechargeable superior economically and in performance.

Twelve and a half hours without apparent loss of light. What a pity not to have a lux meter to verify drops in lumens.



It's funny because I'm traveling away from home and I carry my light sticks everywhere in my pocket. Anyone who sees me will say: this crazy...

After 24 hours, the batteries have lowered the light intensity.
The third one continues to look good, a little less than freshly put in the batteries but plenty to locate an arrow in the dark.



I disconnect the dimly lit ones so as not to damage the batteries and I continue to observe the one that illuminates well.

The last one has lowered intensity at 25 hours.

My conclusion:
They last about 20 hours with good light.

Last night I was looking at the manufacturers' specifications and they all guarantee a minimum of 100 recharge cycles, so they are durable.

What do you think?
Advantage? Drawbacks?
Would you like me to do the same test with a non-rechargeable one?

I can see these being pretty useful if I were to always use lighted nocks for regular target shooting. I only use them for hunting though, so I'll stick with my ebay $2 disposable replacement batteries.

For me personally, they serve me very well.
I will continue testing if they continue to load well and if there are new features.
