2023 SWAT Broadheads

Post by Normous »

SWAT broadheads has listened to the growing crossbow hunting group asking for a heavier mechanical head.

Today Scott Romero released the 2023 TITANIUM XMAG in 125 grain 4 blade with a 3.5" cut, 2" x 1.5".

Announced earlier this year was SWATS all steel (ST) version of the XMAG in 150/175 gr, 2" x 1.5"
A low profile brass washer bumps the weight from 150 to 175 to those shooters wanting heavier up front.

Way to go SWAT!!

After seeing the results of the 100Gr TI last year, and 2 Bears with MOABs with my excals the past two years, without a doubt I'm all in for these new heads.

I have been using swat heads exclusively for 3 years now. They perform amazingly. The blood trails are outrageous!
A touch of frost has heightened your awareness and your heart steadily beats in anticipation. Your senses are suddenly alert to the movement on the forest floor and you realize that the moment of truth is at hand.

In my eyes the swat A-4 is pretty much perfect l don't need anything stronger fancier or "morebetter "even a titanium version..I killed about 19 doe and 4 bucks and 2 turkey None were lost none went more than 75 yards.
Be honest Shoot that many deer with a fixed blade 3 and see if you can get that kind of result.
I know l can't get that result with a fixed blade 3 because l shot them for years.
At first glance it's just a cheap shwacker lookalike
China import but wherever they are made I'm over it and don't care l shoot my deer and walk over to it.. not look all night with friends and flashlights with a man's best friend sniffer dog.

The Schwacker features a not so strong 2000 series aluminum.

That might have come out wrong 😕
I just meant that all these mechanical broadheads literally look the same nowadays...to most they all are shwackers
I believe it was you norm that posted the picture of the swat in the tree. No need for convincing me on their durability.

This tree was unfortunately in front of the vitals on a nice big 8 point my wife shot at a few years back. 42 y shot.

We cut the tree down and dried that section 8 months before splitting it open. Call me impressed seeing the SWAT X hole in tree and no blades broken at that depth.

The truth is that it looks amazing.
I also have a couple of fixed broadheads inside a tree and I highly doubt they are in that condition...

When the tree dies I confirm it, for now I feel sorry to cut it down, it is very big and beautiful.
