Anyone know the weight of the nock w/insert? Just wondering.

I've been shooting cheap nocks out of my verticals with a similar on/off switch and they have performed flawlessly. I like the way the back of these have texture and aren't perfectly flat. That should help minimize partial dry fires from a glossy flat nock.

I must have missed it if it was mentioned, but do the Beacon nocks have a replaceable battery?

The battery is press fit.
Looking at it it appears it can be replaced.
Just saying....

I have about 30 lumenoks, maybe more….they have always, and I say always, worked…in fact, I was at the range yesterday and was shooting Lummy’s that I haven’t shot in over 2 years and they fired right up upon rocket launch….

….with so much invested and consistent reliability, I’m staying put…. Am wondering if these new “matches” are new, in house , engineering or whether Excalibur has licensed another manufacturers design?

If I was in need of new “matches” to light up the caboose I might give these new ones a whirl as they do seem interesting….

…."as for me and my house we will...." stick with the tried and true Lumenoks at 29g and no glue.

I just looked online and Lmenoks run around $31 for 3 and other brands are as low as $21.
I bought two sets of 3/$21 lighted nocks and they doubled my order free. 3 out of 12 didn't work at all. Didn't waste my time risking them in the field and am out $42 :x Sticking with Lumenocks. Or, perhaps changing over to these new Beacons.

....curious as to what brand?.....and YES, STICK to Lummy's..... if you have them, smoke them, if not the new Beacons although not field tested by the forum, seem interesting....

Anthony, I'm like you.
I have bought so many Lumenoks over the years I have several packs of them that have never been opened.
Guess I'm just old-fashioned kind of fellow, (waste not, want not), but I do believe I'll use up all my lumenoks before buying the new ones.

When setting up my bro's arrows for the Strykro, I went with the Beacons. After handling them enough, and now shooting with them plenty, I now know they are what I'll be buying the next time. Biggest reason I'm transitioning to them is the aluminum bushing is a lot better long term for the back of the arrow than the 2 contact wires of the Lumenok.

....I do hear you, but for me, that would be assuming the "2 contact wires" of the Lumenok have at sometime caused a failure of the propulsion system to "ignite." I personally have NOT experienced such a misfortune, hence my decision to stay put....I will be watching the reviews, which to date appear to be favorable...

....one query I do have, is there something which is required to be glued into the shaft as with other lighted nocks?

I use a couple wraps white Teflon pipe tape on the aluminum Beacon bushing shank and press fit them.
This way they can be removed without much trouble.

^^ there is no issue gluing in the bushing. The way I see it , it is easier to salvage the bushing ( if arrow beoke during use) if Teflon tape is used .
