Today at 3:17pm on a lovely spring day all those years ago, the school in this East Texas town I call home and where Susan and I graduated from was the site of the World's Worst School disaster.
Over 300 students and teachers died as a result of this explosion.
A generation was lost.
Today at 3:17 we stand in the monument to honor those who were lost.
Please Google New London School Explosion.
Then think about your children.
Thank You,
AJ

And that disaster is why natural gas smells of sulphur. They add the smell so that it is easily detected. Tragic day.
