OT: 40 Yeasr Now - Where'd they go??

Post by IronNoggin »

Yep. 40 years ago my Lady and I strode up to the Alter, and said the words of promise, love and commitment to each other. It is very difficult for me to comprehend that so much time has literally flown by. For it certainly doesn't seem that long to me...

There have been a lot more ups than downs, and she certainly has been my pillar of support through all this time.
What she sees in me I guess I'll never really fully know, but am certainly grateful for whatever that might be!

I love her as much today (or even more) than I did that day so long ago. I know she understands that, even though I probably don't say it enough. And, from the look in her eyes, I well understand she feels the same for me. And for that I will always be eternally grateful!

It's been a wonderful run thus far!
And I look immensely forward to sharing the rest of my life with my True Love!
No matter what life may toss our way, together we can face anything successfully.

Loved you then Lady.
Love you now.
Always will!!!

Your Appreciative Husband...
Matt

Matt ... Congrats to you and to "She Who Rules".
I met mine while still in High School. Seems like yesterday.

In today's society of "disposable everything's" it's a pure pleasure to see a love that endures the test of time.
Once more, so say "CONGRATS" to you two seems so small.
So I'll say, "Here's to a Lifetime of Commitment". May the future be even more spectacular for the two of you!! :eusa-clap: :eusa-clap: :eusa-clap:

Thanks for all the well wishes folks! Appreciated!

We enjoyed a fine day together working in our yard - something we both really enjoy.

Then a superb dinner at Little Bavaria - THE Best German Cuisine anywhere!!

Still pinching myself that a) 40 years have passed, and b) the fact that we are still very much Best Friends!!

Been a real fun ride this far.
Looking forward to the rest!

Cheers,
Matt

Congratulations! If you find the right person, it's automatic to stay together. In a few weeks my wife and I will celebrate our 43rd. I can't believe how quickly those years have passed.
