I usually prepare for deer in September. Visit landowners and check stands.

I have a project bow in the works and hopefully I have it all back together before October. :)

I'm getting my hunting gear ready. I will meet the landowner on Sunday to get written permission from him.
Season opens 9-16 and closes 1-31 (metro area). Going to Cabelas on Sunday to get my license and stock up on supplies.
I'll get some slick tricks too. It's really dry here in SE WI.

I’m ready to go myself but nothing else is for my yearly moose bear hunt .
I’ve not shot an arrow in months I’ve been so busy .
Next weekend I’m off 5 days so the big push will be on .
We are lucky to have both a bull and cow archery tags this year

Just got back from the bow range and I'm dead nut's! I only needed a little left and up on the scope.
I have my permission slip signed by the land owner and our stands are up and ready! I hope it cools down by 9-16.
Land owner says he likes venison sausage so the first deer goes to him.

Now I'm ready. Got the Wolverine dialed in with field tips. Screwed on a new ToTA standard vented 100gr and sent the first broadhead downrange at a 1/2" dot at 20 yards. I guess they really do shoot like field tips.

At 40y the aiming point in a TACT100 is about 1.5" in diameter. My arrows hit within 1/2" of the center of that aim point. If a bad hit occurs, I can't blame the hardware.
