Getting Ready

Post by IronNoggin »

Passed up a few too many Blacktails here on The Rock this year, and ended up with their tags still in hand.

Sigh...

Now organizing for our Late Archery Whitetail Season over on the mainland.
Going through inventory and shooting the 380 again today.

Picked up my second 380 yesterday (was Big John's) but don't have enough time to run it through the paces before I am supposed to depart.

Supposed to in that the little 4x4 developed one hell of a vibration coming back from picking up the bow.
Dropped by the mechanic's and let him know the ferry is already booked and paid for on Tuesday!
Cross your fingers and get it to me 6:30 am Monday...

Cheers,
Nog

Thanks Fellas! Appreciated!

Decided today to keep the Big John Zombies with the bow he created.

So, put on a new Boo string, and went out to launch a few arrows he had also made me a couple years back now.
Minor speed ring adjustment.
20, 30, 40, 50, 60 Bang On the Money! :D
As in don't shoot the same bull twice!!
70 they lifted about 2" high, but uber tight group.
80 back to bang on as was 90.
100 2.5" low.
This unit, these arrows are READY!!

Never been disappointed with the arrow makers here!
One of these days you know who is going to get the call for the next test!

Still hoping on the 4x4, but now after looking hard believe it is a faulty brake rear left.
Fingers crossed I can make the ferry that is already paid for!

Cheers,
Nog

Best Laid Plans...

Tad called shortly ago.

He, his Lady & his Son all have full on Covid.

The Lady has been hit so hard she is bedridden.

The Sawbones are concerned with Tad due to his heart issues so he will undergo immediate anti-viral treatment asap.

Now I REALLY wish I hadn't passed up any of those blacktails at all.

DAMN!
