Archery deer season started again here saw a 7 point yesterday wasn't a shooter and some big ol beavers were doing what beavers do kept me entertained on stand last night...it was a fun entertaining treestand sit weather in the fifties.
Got my ruger American .22 mag project done today too.
Put a nice boyds laminated stock on for 200 bucks
I have a few grey laminated stocks l thought the camo would be something a little different. definitely machine made but very good quality and fit for the money.
I put a nice lupy 4 x 12 scope on her ..I wanted a good quality scope I'm probably gonna get a bipod for her too.
Trigger is awsome only shot her at 30 yards today easy site in with a happy clover leaf 10 shot group Definitely inside a quarter.
I was tied between a .17 and the .22 mag. But I'm gonna be under 125 yards with her the .22 mag was a safe choice especially that I have a few .22mag pistols.
Have a happy new year everyone we have a few weeks of archery left then l need another project to help my winter blues.

Nice looking rig good choice on the .22 Mag it is a great round for varmint control I am always impressed how much harder it hits and the extra damage it creates compared to a a standard .22 LR.
I find it to hot to Squirrel hunt with it tares them up pretty bad but wonderful Racoon medicine though.

Every time I see a Boyds laminated stock my heart flutters. I will never forget visiting the Boyds booth at the 2021 SHOT show just before Covid hit.
My patient wife just let me go over every detail examining almost every stock they had out for display. Full disclosure - I went back for a second look...could not help myself.

I still don't own a Boyds stock today but I wish to one day.

Norm...my only mistake is that l bought the boyds stock from optics planet..great customer service and fast delivery but now I get 12 emails a day trying to sell me stuff.
They have me confused with someone who is way more wealthy lololl.
