Colton and I drew out on area lake Benbrook. It is fairly close( 45 min. ) and there are some birds. You are limited to archery. We have had good luck with the old FOC broadheads so I guess that is what I I use. I am really looking forward to it. Permit is for first half of season, starting Mar. 30th so not too far away.😁. Wish us luck

I've been watching the hunting public turkey hunting videos. I'm fireed up for our opening day April 25th! :)

Going with my stevens 301 20 guage this season... :)

I love turkey hunting but love eating them even more. My thanksgiving bird in 2023 was taken with my single shot 20g but all the others since I started hunting 4 or 5 years ago were with my xbow (axiom SMF and mag340). I have always used 150gr boltcutters, aim for the wing joint and they basically just flop over, might go with expandable broadheads this year since my new bow is tuned for 100gr heads and that’s what I have.
The thanksgiving bird with the 20g took a bit longer to stop running around and I wasn’t real keen on that, not to mention a bit of bloodshot meat so I think I’d rather use my bow again this spring. Can someone help me post some photos?
