I’m looking forward to turkey hunting this year. I’ve used a Swat Crossbow Magnum on 3 of them. They were all body shots at the wing but at 40 yards and all passed through with the fletchings still in the birds. They are all didn’t take a step. Last year I killed 2 with my 20 gauge. I think I’ll use the crossbow again seeing that I’ll be getting a RevX in a month.
What are your plans for spring turkey?

Will be out opening weekend with the 20 guage! I mounted a Nikon turkey scope on it last year and still need to sight it in...

I should have the newest 2024 SWAT XMAG STX for Ontario spring turkey and spring bear .
Rear blades thicken from .036 to .040.
Aero Trocar chisel point tip is new for 24 as well.
Also new is the 25 grain add on cup matched to fit the rear base of the STX. Now 100 and 125 gr options.
3.75" cut 4 blade. 2" x 1 3/4"

I'll carry a 20 ga. I have that has a turkey choke and a red dot on opening morning. With TSS shot a 20 gauge is about as good as a 10 gauge used to be. 50 yard shots are not irresponsible. The bad thing is how ridiculously expensive TSS shells are. I may grab my crossbow later in the season for a change of pace.

My plans are to put my focus on getting my 8 yr old a shot at one. Last year opening day was super windy, so I went out and shot one within an hour. She went out a couple times after that, and never got a shot at one. This year she gets the priority no matter what. She's still set on using crossbow, so it'll be the micro with Innerloc Carnage broadhead again. I won't use those heads on deer, but they are awesome on Turkey.

Absolutely!

Assuming we're talking magnus bullhead's.

Use an arrow that extends past the end of the stirrup or bad things will happen.

Sight in the magnus bullhead by shooting it in to a pillow that can swing back after the shot.

Sweet thanks. Any suggestions on other broadheads? This cross bow came with 16.5” bolts so I figured I’d have to get longer bolts. Just so new at this and don’t have anyone to teach me but myself so suggestions tips would be great.

I just figured those Magnus bullheads would be a better idea so to take them out at the head/neck opposed to possibly hitting good meat. I know a lot of practice is needed before hand

lol so many questions. Am I limited to Excalibur bolts? Or can I use any bolts as long as they have a flat knock?
