Great story and a magnificent hunt!

Aoudads are one of my favorite critters to hunt. They make Whitetails look tame. That's a great Ram. Congrats to your dad.

Congratulations to your Dad for a well executed hunt. You are learning from someone who knows what he is doing. Congratulations to your Dad also for raising a son who is mature beyond his years.

Apparently, the meat processor thinks this is a record book or medal qualifying ram. We are not sure how "crossbow" fits in. Most of the categories just say "archery". A Gold Medal ram is 130 and change and this one makes that, although it would have to dry for 30-days and be re-measured. My Dad don't care, its a trophy to him. We just didn't know it was a really good one. Thanks for the comments. My Dad tells me I am a juvenile until I join the military or turn 25...LOL. At 18, I should be out of diapers soon!

College might change his mind on that. Have you made a decision on where?

I have football offers but I am shorter and lighter than they want and probably won't make it beyond college level. I think I want to be a Fireman, I like the schedule of a few 24-hour shifts and a few days off while helping people. I did apply to some fire academies. I also have an application for the Ford certification program with guaranteed job, I like working on trucks and I am currently the service team leader at Discount Tire. This summer I am going to get my USCG Captains License and a guide license and also try to get my real estate license. Then I can make money taking people hunting and fishing and help my family business. I'll see what happens with school choices but I would like Firematics or Fire Sciences. Meanwhile I will graduate with a small engine certification and a welding certification, so I have options for income while I feel out the school thing. Excalibur should just let me host their TV show. I'm more realistic and hard-core then their guys that sit in box blinds and tree stands.
