An interesting occurrence on the range . . .

Post by Eck »

This past weekend I was at the archery range qualifying for a deer culling program. An archer arrived with “coyote brown” Excalibur (don’t know the model), proclaiming he hated, just hated the bow, and that Excalibur’s customer service “had gone downhill”.

The left hand limb was cracked, and he had (please sit down) wrapped it with electrical tape. I told him 2X that he shouldn’t be shooting the bow, and he told me two times “I’m going to shoot it”, like he was trying to make some point to someone. Everyone around him plenty of room when he went to shoot.

Long story short, the limb didn’t shatter, and he was able to keep 5 arrows inside of 6 1/4” at 20 and 30 yards.

I think that is testimony to both Excalibur, and being hard headed.

 but a testament to Excalibur
Since he hated it so bad you shoulda offered him $100 for it.

X2 missed a chance for a good buy.
The guy will probably hunt with the bow the way it is and when he wounds a deer will blame the bow not his negligence.
Hunt eat sleep repeat.
