It finally sunk in that the high bank between the wood lot and the canal is a funnel. It’s used to travel along the canal unseen to the crop fields. When the canal was dug many years ago they piled the dirt alongside it. The wood lot I hunt borders this. Don’t know why I didn’t recognize it as soon as I saw it. Losing my touch I guess.
