Proverbial Dumb Question

Post by Buzzard II »

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL! Now for the question. I want to glue in aluminum inserts into the rear of my cross bow arrows instead of the flat plastic nocks, I will round off the inserts so as not to cut my serving. I want to thread an 8/32 rod into a regular plastic nock and screw it into the aluminum adapter in the arrow and use it in my Bitzenburger Fletching jig. Hand tight in the arrow, and the arrow will turn and index in the Bitzenburger for 3 vane fletching. NOW THE QUESTION, DOES ANYONE KNOW WHICH EXACT PLASTIC NOCK CAN I USE TO SCREW THE 8/32 ROD INTO WHICH WILL THEN SCREW INTO THE ALUMINUM ADAPTER IN THE ARROW? Thanks to all! Bob

I don’t have an answer for you but wouldn’t it be easier to just get a crossbow nock receiver? The only issue I would have in considering your plan is that the plastic nock would gradually develop slop and a crossbow receiver would be much more convenient than going back and forth between metal and a plastic nock.
