A few early spring scouting pics

Post by Quickshot »

These pics were taken two weeks ago on an early spring scouting trip. They were all within a 20 foot area.
I have already picked out a tree about 60 yards away from this spot on the game trail coming into this brushy area.

melt

Post by axis »

Quickshot, Dose the snow melt at the same time of year, like in April? Or is this early? I don't know to much about the cold. You must be happy to see the snow go and warm up. Just wondering what being cold for that long is like. You got some good signs.

axis, yes the snow is ussually gone by mid april, but on occassion we do get fresh snow as late as mid may. It sure is nice to see the snow go :D but this also means the end of ice fishing, :( another sport I truly love. The cold is not so bad if you know what to do and how to dress, I truly could not imagine not having winter.

Nice spot! I'm gonna get out later and see if I can shoot a groundhog or two and maybe even find a shed! Hopefully i'll be able to walk thru the snow. We still do have quite a bit here.
