I just bought some at Bass Pro...how can you tell new from old?

On the front of the package there will be an American Flag with the words Made In USA under it if they are the good ones.

OUCH.
Those are the ones I sent back to them after firing but one of them. VERY poor quality.
Informed them they have made a serious mistake, and in doing so lost me as a customer forever.

I knew a lot of the people who worked for them would go to the archery range and shoot together once a week. they lost their jobs . felt bad for them.

There is a 30% chance that one blade will open prematurely, a 30% chance that two blades will open prematurely, a 30% chance that all three blades open prematurely and a 10% chance that they stay closed until impact with your target. And they used to be the only head I would shoot before manufacturing went across the big pond.

Yep, they look the same.

Took them afield last year. Of the three, only one passed the wobble test after mounting to the arrow.

That one prematurely deployed one blade when shot at a whitetail at less than 30 yards.
Went high over it's rump (aimed dead center chest) then embedded in a tree at knee height 10 feet behind it.

Never again!

NOG I have 2 packs of older production 100 grain heads if you are interested shoot me a PM. They are opened but un unused.

Went back to Bass Pro and traded my Chinese broadheads for some American made (I hope) “no collar” Rage Hypos. Won’t use them this year as I still have old Spitfires to use. The selection of broadheads at Bass Pro was meager.
