Rough Two Weeks

Well, two hospital stays in less than two for my Mother, and now perhaps full facility nursing home, or Hospice. She is starting to stop fighting as hard to stay with us, and can no longer stay in a minimal assisted living facility. It has been very hard on my Sister, and Daughter's especially my eldest getting married in a few weeks. Prayers for a partial to full recovery would be appreciated.

Mom has taken a turn for the worse, and oxygen levels are not in her favor. The next thing to happen if we cannot get her blood oxygen levels to improve is the inevitable situation of organs slowing down / or stopping. She has had kidney failure before, and that is a top concern. I'm spending another night with her in the hospital. Long nights last few, and communicating via cell phone mostly.

Thoughts and Prayers to you in this tough time Dan...I have what you are going through ahead of me yet as both my parents in their late eighties are still with me.

Sorry to hear that Dan. You'll be in my prayers.

I went through the same thing 2 years ago. My mother was 54 when she stopped fighting.

Thanks guys. Well pneumonia has set in along with fever. Mom remains strong, and positive so prayers are working it seems. Only the Lord knows what the outcome will be, and my mother was very clear about a DNR listed on her charts. She is ready if it is God's will.

Dan,

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your entire family.
My mother is 87 now and seems to become a bit more feeble almost every day.
I feel for you my friend and wish your mother the very best.

Thanks again all, Mom is still fighting hard. Last night she was calling for my brother, he passed on over 9 years ago. Had me in tears let me tell you. I was planning to hunt this weekend, but that plan has been changed with all the going's on right now. I'm living on my cell phone pretty much when not in the Plant at work. Have two major projects that we want to finish before going off for my knee surgery, so I have been putting in the hours there too.

Thanks old friend for calling me. I feel better just hearing from you, and knowing the things you went through and just talking through it made me feel better.
Lot of moving parts this last few days, but I know God will have his will, and we are ready for what happens.
