Believe very little of what you read or hear on the 6 o'clock news.
Leftists would like nothing better than to do away with private gun ownership and they have long dreamed of the day when they got rid of the organization that helps protect legal gun ownership. Those who hate private gun ownership are not acqainted with the truth and will say and do anything to leave you at the mercy of criminals and tyrants.

One thing I have been warning hunters about for years: I have never understood those who hunt, and those who enjoy shooting, and those who want to protect themselves, proudly proclaiming that they vote democrat, knowing that democrats want your guns. They are in denial that could ever happen, because they reason "this is the USA, can't happen here, we have the 2nd amendment of the Constitution". What they fail to realize is, there are many in this country who would like to change that as well.

If you are voting democrat in light of what is well known about their hatred for guns and freedom, you should wake up to the fact that the NRA will not always be able to offset selfish decisions made at the ballot box. This action by the NYAG ought to be your wakeup call; don't throw your rights away by voting democrat, elections have consequences and the chickens are coming home to roost. It's at the doors. "A man's rights lie in 3 boxes: the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box". Choose wisely, you can vote socialism/communism in, but you'll have to shoot your way out.

What is a socialist? A communist who isn't in full control....yet.

Don't buy into the lie that you don't need guns for protection because we have a police force to protect you. "When seconds count, the police are only minutes away".

I have to take a deep breath, and a then wait when it comes to politics. Watch the alternative news networks for the real stories please. When Barr was asked under oath recently if he would wait until after the election to release the Durham report, that pretty much sealed the deal for me. The corrupt Party of the Left has been in charge for far too long in these major cities with absolutely nothing to show for the monies spent, or their time in office! I knew the Swamp was a murky place, but I had no idea just how deep it was!

The NRA needs to leave New York and Washington D.C. to the leftist socialist nut jobs that run those places! Hopefully when it's all said and done, they'll eat their own offspring, thus ending the insanity!!

Texas would welcome the NRA with open arms!! :eusa-clap: :eusa-clap:

We already have the Texas State Rifle Association. The more the merrier!!!

I think for those moving to Texas, they will find themselves in for quite a "culture shock". We are a state of around 27-28 million citizens. We have over 1.8 million licensed hunters. As of April 30, 2020 there were 1,017,618 LTC (concealed) permits in Texas. Remember folks, you don't need a license to carry a shotgun or rifle in your vehicle.

We are a blunt speaking, no guff taking bunch. We have a saying down here that goes kinda like this, "We don't care how you did it where you came from, you're in TEXAS now"!!

Most of us wish we could give Austin to California or New York. You know Austin has for decades (since the 60's) had bumper stickers that say "Keep Austin Weird". Well, they don't have to worry about that NOT happening!! They still have a place almost downtown that they call "Hippie Hollow". Austin is the breeding ground for liberals in Texas.
I think it has to due with the State Capital being there, to be in politics you must be a little nutty!!!

I really do enjoy the way Texas is regarded around the States. They all have the same thoughts around it.

When we drive to Florida I almost always get talking to people on the drive down. Regardless of the state, when they learn I'm from Ontario they ALWAYS say.. " Oh ya I hear Ontario's Big, it's like... The size of Texas!" I always answer with, "ya it's pretty big"

I never get tired of hearing that, I find it so interesting that everyone feels the same way. So true about the "Everything bigger in Texas" line. I've never been to Texas aside from a lay-over once from Mexico, but I think I'd really enjoy it there. It's like Texas is the older brother that the younger brothers all idolize.

Outside looking in of course. :D

I went to a "long range rifle school" one time in Rock Creek, Ohio. Had a couple of "Mountie's" in the group. There was 4 of us from Texas. By the end of the second day, everyone wanted to know what the 6 of us were doing that night, seems we became the "life of the party"!!

Texas....From Waskom, Texas to El Paso is a drive of over 12 hours straight. 800 miles East to West.
From Dalhart to Brownsville is also a 12 hour drive. 864 miles North to South.
The area of Texas cover 268,597 square miles. 254 counties each with their own Sheriff's Office and County Courthouse.

We are a "friendly bunch", one of the things my old college is known for is the phrase "HOWDY"!!!!
Holler that at someone and someone will call you "AN AGGIE"!!!
And damn proud of it!!!!

Y'all come see us now, ya hear!!!

From my house in Ontario if I drive South 21 hours, I get to my mother's house in Orlando, Florida. If I drive North 21 hours I get to the really good fishing spots .... Still in Ontario. Both roads lead to very different locations.

Texas is like Alberta up here. Ontario is more like a really big kindergarten class. :(

Been all over Texas, love the whole state! My best trip was actually staying in McAllen Texas, but crossing into Mexico for a wedding, and a week of parties leading to the wedding. We stayed at the Marriot, and the Dodge Center had recently opened. We had the Band Kiss staying at our hotel, and we had no idea. We come in from the after party in Texas, and all these people are dressed in Kiss make up, we had a blast the rest of that night in the hotel lounge!  :eusa-dance:
