He's killed quite a few turkeys but with a rifle in the deer stand. This is his first shotgun bird. He didnt even complain much about the 3' shells!mr meat wrote:Congrats to him on his first turkey!
We did "Hi Five" for a bit. As you may know, calling turkeys doesnt always work out like you planned or hoped.This one didnt start out like I wanted it to but ended up just awsome. Everything worked to our favor, and the turkey came right in. Nearly in our pocket. The closeness ( is that a word?) really made it seem more incredible. I dont know if Colton realizes how many things could have gone differently or not. It was just one of those rare moments when it all came together like it is supposed to.
