Yes Jay please score this as my first doe for 20points and 2 for my muzzloader kill. that should bring my total to 52 points if I got it figured right.

Thanks for your time and work.

My 8 pt Buck

Post by NewfieJig »

this is my buck i got this morning. What a rush, chasing a doe, i did a grunt with my new call the "The Brawler" and the Buck came running looking at the decoy all the way. Using my Exomax with wasp broadhead. Dropped him right away. About 15 minutes later while standing in the field another bigger buck was chasing a doe.

Jay,

Score: 8 point, 20.25 inch spread shot with muzzleloader. I score it as 37 points if you concur (15 for 8 pointer, 20 for 20.25 inch spread, 2 for muzzleloader bonus). I believe I tap out at 87 points, 25 + 25 + 37 = 87.

Not the big guy I have been after for a few years but when I was sitting on the ground & he was 5 yards from me I just could not turn it down.

Shot with an Exocet 175, Beman Thunderbolt, Wasp Boss 100gr.

Recovery 70yds.

Shoot Straight

One more for Team Heart Breakers

Post by Kelley »

Was in my favorite stand this morning at 5:30AM. 42 degrees, SW wind about 5 mph, cloudless sky with a beautiful sunrise. Squirrels and birds everywhere. At 7:45AM this small doe walks in at about 12 yards. She was quartering toward me. I placed crosshairs on upper right chest and squeezed the trigger on my Excalibur Crossbow. The bolt entered exactly where I wanted and excited just in front of the last rib on her left side. The 100g Spitfire attached to the 'Cow Whacker' cut the esophagus, heart, and liver. Recovery was 28 yards. The attached picture is not posed, it is exactly as she fell. This is the size deer I like to eat.
