Opening Day Buck

Post by tman74 »

I harvested this meat buck oepning day of the Ontario archery season at my acreage in Grey County. I was hunting in hardwoods, and at around 5:15 pm a little button buck decide to hang around my stand until around 6 ish, then around 6:20 pm two 5 & 6 pointers decide to stroll by my stand at 7 & 20 yds. I took the one at 20 because he was bigger bodied (if he looks small in the pic it's because I'm 6'7). It was such a great day outdoors. I used an Exocet 200 with Grim Reaper Razorcuts 125's, and he didn't go more than 20 yds after the shot.

Congrats!

I thought I read somewhere that you didn't think you'd be hunting this year? Bet you're glad you went out.

That will be a good eater and look good right next to the mashed taters!
