Everything is bigger in TEXAS !   Colton is a little bitty kid, size wise, so it makes the bird look huge.

He's killed quite a few turkeys but with a rifle in the deer stand. This is his first shotgun bird. He didnt even complain much about the 3' shells!

Congrats to Colton. Can't wait to shake his hand. I may need him to give me a few pointers after my sorry performance in Georgia. I'm already packed and ready to go. See you Friday.

We did "Hi Five" for a bit. As you may know, calling turkeys doesnt always work out like you planned or hoped. This one didnt start out like I wanted it to but ended up just awsome. Everything worked to our favor, and the turkey came right in. Nearly in our pocket. The closeness ( is that a word?) really made it seem more incredible. I dont know if Colton realizes how many things could have gone differently or not. It was just one of those rare moments when it all came together like it is supposed to. I am blessed to have been a small part of it.Since I was taking the picture you cant see my grin.
