A little 3x4 Mulie I shot yesterday afternoon with the new Micro. I had to wait and recover him this morning after a 16 degree night. ...

Meat was fine and most of it was frozen
I did not have to take a doe after all, as I found this one on state land off of the Ranchers property where I had permission to hunt but only for his does... He said bucks were for family. I scouted that area 3 days and saw well over 200 deer on his fields every day... One field had 102 or more head in it every day.... There were several bucks present but one little fork horn was doing his best to take care of all of the does... I observed no fighting among the bucks at all.
Yesterday I did not make it to a bluff I had put a pop-up primos Blind on above a field I planned to hunt... Since I only got it up a day before opening day I thought perhaps they would not come too close... Well, by the time I got to it to hunt in the afternoon there were 47 bucks, does and fawns either eating or sleeping within 40 yards of it.... This morning the landowner told me they were even closer.
As you can see this buck came out of some pretty rough country riding back seat on the quad.
On Reflection, with the distances to some of the likely targets, I'm thinking I may actually prefer the 355... I'm even kicking around possibly trading this new Micro for a nice 380 should someone become interested in a trade for real nice Micro.
But the Idea behind the hunt was to get the Micro bloody...so I can report Mission Accomplished !
