First Kill ever and at the end of hunting season

Post by thelopeztribe »

Well, I got my first kill ever with the Excal crossbow. Finally got it at the end of the season here in GA.

Damn this guy was heavy. Nobody told me to be prepared for the weight. Lesson learned when gutting/skinning, I need to invest in a good knife. :)

That is a nice deer. Good shooting! I use a small Case knife and can take apart a whole deer in just a little while. I cannot hardly move a whole deer by myself!

I use a Havalon knife. No more dull blades! :)
A touch of frost has heightened your awareness and your heart steadily beats in anticipation. Your senses are suddenly alert to the movement on the forest floor and you realize that the moment of truth is at hand.
