I just asked my boss yesterday if I could have the last week of April off, and he said.....................no problem . Usually it is a fight getting any time off. I will have an entire week to devote to tracking down a gobbler! Can't wait.
I'll be out for the opener as well. I have been scouting but haven't come up with anything yet. Seems strange I saw turkeys almost every day I was out last year. Maybe its still early.
Congrats, I'll be going out that week too( I hope) I just signed up for the Turkey course on the 23th of April so I hope things work out so I can hit the bush on Tuesday. Just ordered some Zwickey Scorpios too. I haven't
been out scouting yet,but in the fall I saw turkeys just about every time I
went to my stands. I'm also building a shop for a customer who sees turkey in his bush all the time. I can't wait !!!
I have a new job starting on May 1st so I am quitting this one a week eary to get out into the turkey woods. Sorry guys but I will be pulling out the shotgun to try to get the first one, if I get lucky then I might move to the crossbow or compound bow.
I saw about 20 turkey and alot of deer on the way home today.
man I can't wait! I think I am going to try to get some time off too.
The last week I have a few of those shinny footballs out there.
Good hunting to all of you, I wish there were turkeys were I live for it sure looks like it would be a good challenge and lots of fun to hunt them.

In all seriousness, pop in and ask them, you never know what they will say.

Hi! guys I'm new to the site, but really like what I see. As for Turkey I just finished the course an hour ago. So I will be in the bush on the opener. I shoot all different types of weapons, rifle, shotgun, muzzleloader and xbow (exo200)
My dog, Nellwyn is also itching to get out in the turkey woods.
I was making a cover for my camera (making a bit more stealthy for filming some hunts) and couldn't resist making her a mask. My wife thinks I'm nuts . She may be right. [/img]
