I think this post will turn as many away from Excaliburs as it will convience some to buy one..

I like that Excals and will own one sometime in the future.. but if I had still been in the decision stage on which and had read this post it would have swayed me more from the Excals..

Went to Cabela's this weekend to buy a target called the BLOCK.
While I was there , this gentleman and his wife were checking out the crossbows.....he was really playing with the 10 Point models....the pricy ones.
The sellsman comes over to him and ask " can I help you "......the fella say's " I'm interested in buying a good xbow'. The sellsman says " well the best crossbows are located next to the 10Points.....THEY ARE THE EXCALIBUR MODELS ".....WOW.... I was surprised that the sellsman told him the truth, I mean he could have doubled his sell by selling the 10POINT to him that cost twice as much.
I couldn't help myself.....I butted in and said..." I have the EXCALIBUR model"......we both explained the pro's and con's of both bows.....then he seen the " LIGHT "........AMEN

Where in Bob's post did he bash Ten Point? He quoted a salesman.

Everyone so far has said that both makes are good. Some have pointed out what they believe is advantages with Excal products.

Well I guess I should expect this since this is the Excaliber forum.. but I would have thought that with so many against crossbows that all the crossbow forums would support all types of crossbows. and I am sorry but I still say TenPoints have features that make it a way more safe xbow than an Excaliber, such as the double safty, no accidental firing of bolts, and the dry fire inhibitor, no worries of harming your bow because you forgot to load a bolt , wich I have read where some have messed up their limbs because they forgot to load a bolt, and the Accudraw cocking aid..
it must be thought highly of I have seen many pics of it mounted on guess what Excaliburs.. I would just think that with so many against xbows that the xbow users would band togather guess I might need to look for a forum that is other brand friendly..

Where is your anger coming from? What's with the tissy fit? Should everyone run out and buy a Ten Point?

Nobody is crapping on Ten Point, Barnet or any other crossbow in this post. They haven't even crapped on stickbows compond or whatever. They even talk about firearms on this forum.

I would just think that with so many against xbows that the xbow users would band togather guess I might need to look for a forum that is other brand friendly..
guess that is why I spend most of my time on the archerytalk forum..

htoler if you truly feel that we all are bashing your TenPoint, of which none on here are doing, why don't ya just forget this forum and move on In no way am I trying to start something here but feel everyone that has replyed to your thread has been well a little over nice

again what is the best xbow is a matter of opinion..

sounds like youns are having a hard time dealing with some negative feedback..


and instead of just using the parts of a post you want why not use the whole post I have stated several times that I like the Excals and that in the future I will own one..
both of the xbows are excelent xbows but I would not go so far as to say one is any better than the other.. as I have stated this post the original just comes off wrong to me..

I guess I am not allowed to state my thoghts on a post about Excals on here unless I support what is being said..

I do the same thing, hehe... I always talking people into Excalibur's at our shop.

So are you saying that you try to sway people to buy what is your choice in Xbows instead of showing them all that are available and giving them all the info on the xbows available and letting them decide which is the best xbow for them. as to whch fits them best and best suits their needs.
Glad my local proshops are not like that.. in anything I am in the market for they show me all of what is available and give me the info on the items and leave it to me to decide..

We carry Horton, and Excalibur. We show them both products, but I meantion that I use an Excalibur and why I like it, and they seem to sway to Excalibur after that. I don't knock Horton or other bow companies though. Just tell them what I use and why I chose it.

It seems that you have a problem about something. Noboby wants to ban you. You came onto this post and made claims that were not there.

You are entitled to your own opinion. You went on to say that somebody trashed Ten Point. This was not the fact.

ps. I don't mind negative feedback (broad shoulders) but you should re-read the original post and point out where the ten point bashing is.

I get a lot of good info off of this forum guess I will stick to serching for info and not posting my thoughts.. since someone disagreeing is not well accepted on this forum...

and the problem they had on archerytalk was dealing with the anticrossbow people... not with someone disagreeing with a post..

can any of you prove beyond a doubt that Excalibers are the best crossbow..

No I cannot prove that TenPoints are the better xbow and have never stated that just that it has in my opinion the better safty features and the best cocking aid I also stated that excals are the simplest .. I have stated that I think they are on par with one another..
