Its not a fake hand at all. The arrow is tight between his fingers and the other end is right up against his wrist. Its a fake.

I was thinking the same thing. My guess is that as he came to full draw the arrow slipped off the rest, he released and whammo, into his hand.

I think it is Photo Shop. It is just way to clean. The entrance or exit has no blood or anticeptic on the area. I know that they might clean away the blood very well from the area, but the fletching would still show blood. Also the anticeptic which they use would stain the hand for several days, much longer then they would leave the arrow in there.

But it has got alot of people talking  .

The more I look at it its a photo shop job. No bruising, no swelling, the arrow does not line up correctly and it exits at his finger. If he was in the hospital they would have swabbed him down with betadine and he would ge brown.

Another case solved by the Excalibur CSI crew.

Fake!!!!!!!!!!!
A real man wouldn't go to the hospital for a little thing like that! He'd just yank it out, pour some whiskey over it, and get on with his hunting.

Well at least he was using field points. You can see why they don't let him play with sharp objects.

I have tried to look into and find out the SNOPES on this but can't seem too. I know of a nurse that has looked at it and says that she believes that it is REAL. The way the skin looks where the arrow enters and exits is just the way it would look if real. Also, she says most of the time, it will not bleed until they try to remove things like that.

I guess I stand corrected. When I am incorrect, I am man enough to change my opinion. But I can change it back again too    .

I'd agree that this is a real picture... entry and exit look real. Plus if you look close you can see his knees are skinned... likely when he did it and fell to his knees screaming... AGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
