varizone
ok guys. i think i'm going to bite the bullet and admit to the shortcoming of eyesight. i'm pretty sure that i'm going to buy the vaeizone for myself and give the truglo to my step-son. my only question is this. if i'm shooting GT laser II with brass inserts and 100 grain broadheads what should i set the scope fps setting on. Lord knows i don't want to have to buy a chronograph just to use this scope. also after Christmas i'm going to start making my own arrows. what a dilema!

I don't have a chrono, and just got my Varizone last week. Doing a little sighting in Sunday afternoon and put a small leaf from a Bradford pear on my block target for an aiming point. After setting the scope at 20, shot once at 30 and made a small windage adjustment, once at forty and went one more click on the windage, then moved back to 50 and center punched the leaf. I pulled the trigger on it and still and amazed! Anyway, just work on the windage and elevation at 20, when you move back to 50 use the speed ring to make any more elevation adjustments and you won't need the chrony.

Don't know exactly where it comes from , but would like to live up to the statement. Who actually made the stement. Mine, why ride when you can walk is the opposite of what my dad would tell me. Why walk when you can ride. I like giving him a hard time to try and stay in shape!

I just did this drill. I ordered a dozen Gold Tip II's without specifying what insert . . .they came with brass. Slightly heavier . . .anyway, I sighted in at 20, then made the slight adjustment from 30 with the speed ring on the scope . . .it was dead on at 40 and 50.
You will love the scope. Sighting it in is simple . . .no need to figure out the exact speed before shooting.
Enjoy

I'd rather wear out than rust out.
