Fall IS coming

Post by scottr »

Well the days are getting cooler and the nights colder. I can't wait for the bow season to start. Around here it starts Oct. 1st............did I mention I can't wait. I love my fishin' in the summer and right up to the beginning of the hunting season....... this year I'm going to reserve a few days to try some muskie fishing other than that it's all about the hunting.
If it's brown it's down....

It really is cooler. Today's high was 94. That's down 10 degrees from last week. :)

I'm assuming you live in Ontario? It did feel like fall today, ideal for duck hunting!! The rest of the week isn't supposed to be so cool. 38 celcius with the humidity.

Yes, I live in Eastern Ontario. It was low 20's yesterday and it is 11 degrees Celcius right now. I had to go in the pool today to find a leak in the liner and it was COLD (66 degrees Farenheit).

We just got our first rain since june and it is cool out; you can see your breath in the morning. Its been so dry here in the Thumb area of Michigan that the leaves are falling and some of the leaves are turning color. This is the dryest summer that I have ever seen here in my 45 years on this earth. My hunting property does have a flowing spring on it so all the deer in the county are there drinking and eating on my food plots. Should be a banner year for the Exomax. :D

the past few days have really been suggestive of whatis to come. I cannot say I'll be unhappy to see the hot weather totally depart.

I would LOVE to see how it is to start bow season without being drenched in sweat. It gives new meaning to "hunt the wind" . I will gladly trade places with one of you Canadian xbowers .
Which also brings me to say this . I will be glad when the "South" gets on the band wagon with xbow hunting . Sad to say we are behind the times . There is a bumper sticker here in ga. that says "GEORGIA--OWNED AND OPERATED BY THE " DNR ).
