What's in your pack.....
Diesel,
It's actually 4 lights, I forgot the Streamlight Scorpion light, I use it just for tracking since it is so bright. I got the Gerber Carnivore as a birthday gift last year and never needed to use it. I have this thing about flashlights, I can never have to many. I forgot the extra batteries, camo gloves/facemask.

Depends on the season, time of year, and weapon I’m carrying. The basics that are always there are:
Hat light
Two LED hand lights small
Matches in waterproof container
Magnesium fire starter
Lighter
Survival knife
Large pocket knife
About 50’ heavy cord
About 50’ light rope
Plastic ties
Rubber gloves
Light camo netting
GPS
Cell phone
Couple bottles of water
Urine bottle if I’m going to use a stand or blind
Extra ammo
Survival blanket
Lots of extra batteries
Survival saw
Compass
Walki-Talki
Seams like a lot but they are all items are indispensable if needed and a lot lighter then the pack I carried in the service.

Never kick a tiger in the a## unless you have a plan to deal with his teeth

binocs
camera
extra-gloves/socks/sweater (weather dependant)
rain gear (depending on forecast)

You can take the man out of the woods but you can't take the woods out of the man.

Ditto to all the above, but the last few years the most important items have been:
pillow
blanket
alarm clock
Haven't figured out how to fit them in my pack yet, but these seem to be the items I need most. Something about a late afternoon nap snuggled up to the base of a red oak that I can't resist.
And yes, I've woken up once or twice to the snort of a deer and the white tail salute.

flashlight (just one!)
TP (I'm a girl -
I wish I could use less!)
camera
binoculars
cell phone (not turned on!)
rattle bag
twine
apple
water
string cheese & crackers
trail marker tape
light stick
hand warmers
scent bottle
emerg. blanket
lighter & matches
extra clothes depending on the weather
stuff I carry in my pockets or on my belt:
knife
compass
truetalker grunt/bleat call
lighter
fox 40 whistle (on a lanyard around my neck)
more T.P. (yeah, yeah, yeah,.... I know....)
If I'm hunting with others I'll have a 2 way radio instead of the cell phone
My blind packs up small (Doghouse-style) and I wear it over top of my pack when I'm relocating - my stool and decoy go in the blind bag.
Last year I occasionally brought along a small heater and tank - I didn't mind the bit of extra weight knowing that it meant I could hunt for a few hours longer.
