Was just checking out the area I hunt using google maps satellite imagery. With the zoom function I can identify particular trees!!
Anyways, how can I print the images? I've tried but all I get are street names.
Google maps ?
Google maps ?
You can take the man out of the woods but you can't take the woods out of the man.

To avoid an absolutely massive database to hold the satellite images; Google has zoned the pictures, and associated different qualities to each zone. Usually more populated areas are FAR higher quality. I would imagine Chris's hunting area is closer to a city; and therefore fell into a higher quality zone than your hunting area.
For example; I used to live in the city; and can zoom in so close I actually found my car on Google earth. now that I live in the country, I can barely make out my house.
Example 2- Search for a landmark. The Hollywood Sign, or empire state building will do nicely. Zoom in on that; see if you can get zoomed in closer than your hunting area
Chris.
Best way to print off the image-
-Open Google Maps (Or Google Earth)
-Zoom in to your desired setting
-Close all unnecessary windows
-Move your cursor off screen
-Press your PRINT SCREEN button (on the keyboard)
-Open MS Paint
-Press CTRL+V
-Deselect the image
-Use the 4 squares in the center of each of the 4 edges to crop the image down. (remove your start menu, and window headers, leaving only the desired image)
-Save As... Select JPEG Format
-Open MS Word
-Import the JPEG
-Adjust size to comfortably fit on one page
-Print
If I lost you; let me know; Ill get you some "How To" Images

Again; live.com associates quality zones. The neat thing is; some areas on Google are higher priority than live.com
Here is my house zoomed in as close as Live.com will allow me

Here is my house on Google Maps, zoomed in as close as it will allow me
