Vote for the nicest picture.
Ok Boys and Girls. I think we have all ended our seasons so I'd like to kick off the vote for the best picture.
Again here are the prizes.
Two of my bow strings
The rechargeable LED light
A six pack of 100 gr SST Boss Wasp Broadheads
A three pack of 100 gr Jack Hammer Broadheads
If you want to review the rules here you go. http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/phpBB2 ... sc&start=0
Here's my take on the pics. I had a difficult time picking between Jeeptag, Fishn-Hunter, Partikle Schnarrfuss and Fletch. But for my one vote I vote for Fletch. So there's the first vote.

Boo . . .it was hard to choose, but, I'll have to vote for Adrian J Hare . . .If the doe didn't have a tag in it's ear, I'd think Adrian was just staying warm with his pet deer. I also like the excitement in his face. To me, that's what it's all about.
I'd rather wear out than rust out.

There's a lot of nice pics, which made it hard for me to choose. Like Don. I would also give honourable mention to Jeeptag, Fishn-Hunter, Partikle and Fletch. All are nicely presented.
Had it not been that Fletch's deer had the bow string across it's neck, I might of picked it.
Another couple of pics also caught my eye. I thought Doe Master's doe "One from before Christmas" should also get a high rating. The Dude's pic presented the Buck quite well, if it hadn't been for the cocked xbow and a bit of blood.
Actually all the above aforemention pics could very easily be picked as winners.
Schnarrfuss' October Buck is also nicely done. In my opinion, it not only presents the deer quite tastefully, but the pic also has decent photographic qualities. To me it looks like something that wouldn't be out of place in a magazine.
So in the end my choice and MY VOTE goes to Schnarrfuss' pic.

This is going to be a close one. Very hard decision, but can I vote for myself if possible
. If not, I will vote for The Dude's picture.

I liked Peter's picture a lot too. However, I ruled it out because he works for Excalibur. He is actually a moderator, does he still count?

Some excellent pictures in the contest this year.
I could make my decision by flipping a coin, but I will get down to nit-picking to narrow the field. Nothing to do with actual safety, and those of us who hunt know a cocked - unloaded crossbow is safe, but I still prefer to see an un-cocked bow in the pic. With firearms I like to see the action open so I know it's unloaded. I like to see pics free of clutter such as accessories laying in the background, and I prefer pics in a natural outdoor setting.
So based on merely personal preferences I narrowed it down to a few, then picked my favorite from those.
And my vote goes to........................
Fishn-Hunter

If my vote for the Dude doesn't count, then I will change my vote for Partikle. I love buck pics like that in the winter time.

Because Peter works at Excalibur does that mean my vote don`t count then.

By all means it should count. I know this is contest is clumsy but hopefully I will run this again and the bumps will be ironed out. BTW I don't have a problem with the employees entering but I think the execs should not be included. They get S.W.A.G that you guys don't get.Doe Master wrote:Because Peter works at Excalibur does that my vote don`t count then.

So many good ones but my vote is for catcher, truly an awesome deer and a well put together picture,it shows respect for the animal and includes the future of out sport.
A deer of a lifetime if I have ever seen one.
