STS

Post by hikerman »

I just installed a STS on my exocet 175#. Also filled the rail with foam.
WOW!!!
Shoot at ten yards at my homemade target bag. I think the arrow hitting the bag makes more noise than my crossbow.
I also am using a Boo string with cat whiskers as well which was quieter than the factory FF string befor the foam and STS.
But the STS, wow!!

Did some more shooting and the crossbow is definitely quieter than the arrow hitting the bag! Can't wait to try it outside!!!

Did the same with my pheonix added sts and a boo string with whiskers. i found the the boo string to take most vibration out and reduce the noise quite considerably ...after i picked up the sts for added noise reduction and protection from dry firing.... very happy with both pick ups..

I bought STS with Xbow from Wyvern Creations.

How does one keep foam from interfering with arrow flight?

I think the company is in the southern States.
I will bring the address back from work on Monday and let you know.
I bought mine for the Bow Shop here in Kitchener Waterloo Ontario.

Hikerman,

Did you notice any weight difference in the bow with the STS and foam added or was it barely noticeable?

Didn't notice any weight difference. I think it is only a few onces.
The sts is only 4 onces I think.
The packaging is at work, I will check the weight, address & phone number on Monday and ley you guys know. I am very happy with this setup.
My next string I will try without cat whiskers. Although they do look cool.
