found a splinter
out hunting last week and noticed a small splinter on the inner corner of one of the limbs approx. 2 inches out from where it bolts to the bow. it's an older exocet (carved tips). the splinter is about an inch long and appears to be in the outer surface only - just the camo - can see black underneath. opinions?? safe to shoot? took a couple shots at target and doesn't seem to affect accuracy. think it's still warrantied - i mean i've only had her about 10 years or so . with no probs. until now i might add.
I had something similar on my old carved tip. A simple drop of epoxy or other quality archery glue then clamping it fixed that thin surface splinter. I had to have shot it a least 1500 times after that without a problem.
