Excalibur bow strings whats their shot # life expectancy

Assuming the user maintains the string with wax and re-serves the center and end servings when they looks worn.

How many shots can one expect to get out of the:

#1989 "Flemish Dyna Flight string"

or the

#1994 "Excel String"?

I am not going to toss these strings just because they have aged a year or three and still look like new.

Well maintained I would guess about 1500 shots.
I judge mine by when I do my brace height adjustment, if it is as stiff as a coat hanger I retire it, never dispose, just retire.

I have found that the serving is the weak point with my Exomax.
After a day of trudging through the bush with it cocked, the serving is starting to seperate. I tried a Flemish string and it actually unravelled
from the serving after about 20 shots so I went back to the factory strings.
is it easy to reserve them? I think I saw a thread about this awhile ago.
I'll do a search for it.

Another thing to keep in mind with the factory string is don`t twist it the wrong way or else you are just loosening the serving .Not so easy to do with the flemish on account if you twist it the wrong way you just make the string come apart .

That happens more often than some want to admit.

Okay... So which way do you twist factory strings then???

They can be made either way(right twist or left twist). The best bet is to use your head and look at the string. It should be obvious. Just pay attention to the way it is twisted and continue the twist to shorten.

In the image above the string has to be twisted counter clockwise to shorten.

The endless loop factory strings have right handed servings so twist them the same way as the string above to shorten otherwise what doemaster describes will happen. If you look at the serving you will see the end of the serving which tells you which way to tighten and it doesn't matter which end you look at!
