Downloading pictures from the camera today ..
I took a few frames of a Township released Cock Pheasant near Drumbo three weeks ago ... he was hungry and was able to get at lots of good pickings with only a little snow on the ground ...

The weather was nice two weeks ago , and the turkeys at the back of my property were getting braver , feeding closer to the shop as the sun lit up the corn stubble ...

Still sunny and a little more snow , but as you can see from the tracks , the critters were taking advantage of my truck tracks in the corn stubble ...

Mostly turkeys ... The deer seemed yarded up further North and West of my property ...

As the weather got colder and the snow started to accumilate ... the turkeys group up and range farther for food ...

Even the geese were getting restless ... bad weather was on it's way !

Then the last few days threw us some strong winds and blowing snow ...

I had a WMU 87 tag to fill so I decided to try a different tree / different area for a change ..
A 2216 .. successfully launched from my Y25 Relayer ( had to dig down thru the snow to find it ! ) ... finds it's mark on a strange crab claw racked 7 point ...

A quick picture with the gear ... I had seen two other bucks , 1 had shed both sides , the other had shed his right side ... this guy snuck in , caught me off guard , but eventually gave me a broadside 20 yard shot .
Man ... lots of reports of shed antlers already , and this guys rack was firmly fixed !!

A long walk back to the truck ... dragged and tagged , then off to the butcher ..
PS : Field dressing , showed he had been feeding heavy on Cedar's

Now with Christmas tomorrow ... it's off visiting friends and relatives !
Merry Christmas to all ! ... good luck chasing Ontario Whitetails from the 26th to the 31st !
