Say fairwell to the dancing girl!

Post by DesertRat »

Well, I guess the world of crossbow forums has been invaded by the oversensitive types that wanna change the world.

To all thos that enjoyed the dancing girl, it was a good run. To the others... well, you know!

That goes double for me. I liked her, but I see the reasons why Peter asked what he did.

Well, it's a relief to know that, Vix! :P

I thought she was a terrible dancer. Her moves were a bit robotic and repetitious

It's not Excals fault. I guess they had received some complaints and Peter PMd me asking if I would remove her. It was apolite PM and I simply answered "OK".

Vix, I knew you were not one of the whiners.

I think it is funny though. Yes, she had some bounce to her but saddly, in this day and age, her dance was no worse that most beer commercials, or what women wear on soap's yadda yadda yadda. The difference here is the whiners can actually commmunicate and put pressure on Excal to have it removed. What next, we gonna have some tree huggin bastad come on and ask to have the dead animal pictures removed?

Ahhh well, the world has become over sensative and crazy. Speaking of which, I caught something onthe news last night saying that Toronto banned the sale of guns on city property ie. the Toronto Sportsman show? Toronto's current council is a bunch of Liberal, knee-jerk pansies that can't control the crime in their city so they target the law abiding gun owners as a placebo for the uneducated masses! David Miller is anti-gun and anti- airplane. I can't think of any two more reasons to hate a guy!

I would like to eliminate myself from the list of "whiners." I personally found nothing wrong with any of the "bouncing boobies" avatars. But that's just me. I'm "frisky" according to the Swede, lol.

But I think you got it all wrong here DR. I do not think that some whiners are going to make the Excalibur employed moderator of this forum do anything that he/they do not think is in the best interest of how he/they want their product/company represented. You are most correct that SPAM sell beer. I question if they sell crossbows. (Well, they would for me, but hey, remember, I'm frisky.)

This is no democracy here, it is a dictatorship, and for us fortunately, a very benign and benevolent one. But make no mistake about it, this dictatorship will, and appropriately so, do what they believe is in the best interest of the perception of their product in the consumers eye. I do not think "whiners" had anything to do with managements request for you to remove your avatar.

If I am not mistaken, a request by forum management was made for individuals to remove questionable avatars. It was a very warm, friendly and well worded post asking for cooperation. It was made in a way we have come to expect from Peter. It would have been nice if he did not have to revisit the issue and make direct requests.

No, the "over sensitive types" had nothing to do with the avatar being tossed to the curb.

Business did.
