Hey there! Good area to hunt, I live up this way and drive through Carnarvon all the time. I took a bear myself on opening day this year, just South of there. Try this link for Crown Land: http://crownlanduseatlas.mnr.gov.on.ca/

The MNR office in Minden is very helpful as well, their number is 705-286-1521. Also, try out Jack's tackle store at Minden Bait and Tackle, and talk to Chris at Wild Outdoors in Haliburton, both good guys.
