STS decreased noise

I was hesitant in getting an STS initially, but decided, what the heck, I will give it a try. A friend of mine has a sound meter and we were getting 10 decibels less with the STS as opposed to not having it on. Even listening to it, it made an improvement. It takes the twang out and makes it more dull. Anyhow, it did decrease the noise down by 10 decibels if thats any use to anyone. I was shooing 100grn tips with the flemish string too

It's a fine product and doing double duty is a bonus
The deafst deer can hear the quietst crossbow but every little bit helps

Please, what was the the db reading to begin with?

What is your set up, bow, distance between string and bumper ?

I run an NGSS similar to the STS but with adjustable rods, and whiskers on an Xbow Kenny string.
The guys at my local shop were even commenting on how quiet it is so they must help in the sound department.Now that said will a deer not jump the string now I seriously doubt it.But I use these to try and increase life of the string.
Well worth the price
