Yep, thats why I'm trying to eat as much out of our freezer as we can. But with the garden season done.....there is lots of stuff in there. Plus I still have venison stew meat. Season opens friday...I may have to hold out for a while. Course with Michigan's U.P 5 point or better rule on bucks it may not be hard.

Good work sir! I too being a buckeye saw everything but a deer... Squirrels, rabbits, turkeys, I even saw two pheasants just walking along, mocking me... It will happen, I gotta say, the summit ultimate viper ss I got is like climbing a tree with a lazyboy recliner... Money well spent! :D Just like my Pheonix! We still have all the corn and soy beans up so that doesn't make things where I hunt any easier, once thats down in a few weeks I can really slip into a few honey holes but there is a lot of ground to cover and it will be much more effective to wait til the crops are down.
The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea, they are given into your hands. Gen 9:2

Congratulations Wabi, that is a nice looking deer. I harvested my first xbow deer last Sunday afternoon, during an early season hunt, so I am right there with ya man about being all pumped up about it. I can't wait for our archery opener this coming Friday. May the heavens open up and rain down trophy sized deer upon all of us hunters. (Disclaimer: Notice that I didn't say "bucks" or "does" since I didn't want to step on any toes Wabi) 8)

Congrats! Our season opens this coming Friday. I'll take one of those does...my game freezer is empty. I wish I could use corn like in Ohio. They want to lock us up here if we do that. Gary
