Wood stock

Post by sumner4991 »

Christmas came way early this year! I got Aging to make me a wood stock! I've kept a picture diary from a ugly block of walnut to a fine looking stock.

I'm still a few days away from using it. Mike made the stock and I'm putting the spar varnish on it.

Here we go . . .the pictures . . .

WOW!

Awsome job!
A touch of frost has heightened your awareness and your heart steadily beats in anticipation. Your senses are suddenly alert to the movement on the forest floor and you realize that the moment of truth is at hand.

That's pretty. If I keep seeing pictures like these, I may have to play around with the idea. Hmm.

What type of recoil pad are you using there?

It's the classiest stock I've held in my hands too.

The SURPRISE for me was the weight. It's lite . . .real close in weight to the factory stock. I'll weigh the two and post that information too.

Very cool, looks like it is moulded to fit the hands of a hunter.
Looking forward to seeing it all put together.

There are talented members on this forum!
That took both vision and talent to turn that chunk of wood into the finished product!

I look forward to seeing the Phoenix mounted in it!!!!!!!!

BTW - If you don't have a Phoenix to put it on, it just happens that I DO!
