● Dramatic productions - producers of dramatic productions can apply in writing to the Commissioner of Police for an exemption notice in respect to any prohibited weapons (including crossbows) listed in Schedule 1 of the Weapons Regulations 1999

The provisions in respect to collectors, arbalests and dramatic productions will not commence until July 1 in order to give these groups and police enough time to process approvals without people committing offences.

Don`t get me wrong it is a horrible thing when someone gets killed . But to condemn the weapon is wrong . It was the person whom did the deed not the weapon .
One person in 2 years is not bad . Compared to how many die from those legless creatures . What is it 5 or 6 of the top 10 deadliest snakes live in Australia .

Crossbows just became legal in New Brunswick this year, a few years back in Nova Scotia and now illegal for you. Crazy how a few people in power can make laws just like that. If they banned everything that has caused harm or death to humans then there wouldn't be a lot of things that would be legal. Sad day for people like you who lawfully enjoy crossbows and hunting with them, yet another example how 0.00001% can ruin it for everyone else.

I haven't been this pissed off with someone in a long time. These government assholes have wound me up.
We have no support from Archery australia at all. "This goverment move will only boost their club membership so why would they". I know now they have no interest in supporting Bowhunting nor crossbow hunting either.
But the Bowhunters group are supporting us. They know hunting in general is under attack and they're next. The letter writing has begun. If you you don't hear back from me in a few days, its because I have RSI of the typing fingers.
