Kept him home again today (bad daddy), we walked from the backyard and went in search of some new birds at 5 this morning. We had an excellent show from a big tom, a jake and their girlfriends. After watching them work their way to the other side of the field I started to hammer on the box call like I was trying to break it, both males shot to 40 yards of our blind leaving the hens behind.
The next few minutes are ones that I will never forget, nor will my 8 Year old son. A lot of turkeys have fallen in front of me, this mornings was very special.

And then the wife coming to our rescue to help us dig the Suzuki out of the field, the truck is still there.
