Re: Pole barn design
If I could get one like the picture for $750.00 I would take about 10 of them.
Take time to enjoy each & everyday that GOD has given us- be thankful.

Don, are you building it yourself . The local lumber companies here have packages that they sell , Rona and Home Building center may have the information you need .
Re: Pole barn design
Thanks guys but the barn is up and running as of last year. Those who were nice enough to come and visit me at Boostock saw the structure.

Re: Pole barn design
The cost is for the "engineer's expert design" for structural stability.
Those engineers are amazing!
I'm working on a commercial building right now (plumbing) and was impressed with the engineer's ability the first time I went into the crawlspace. The first floor prints specifically located the water closet (commode) locations, and the location of the main drain in the crawlspace (if I followed the prints) would have had to go through the concrete piers supporting the floor beams.
I've never had a set of prints that I could follow 100% for the plumbing layout.
Good thing building inspectors realize it's often impossible to follow the approved prints. Even the state plumbing department's "stamp of approval" on the prints contains "fine print" saying the plumbing must comply with current code despite what is shown & approved in the print.

Wonder how much searching he had to do to dig up a year and a half old thread on barns.siteturbo wrote:FYI, For those of you interested, there is a bulletin board/forum dedicated directly to barns at www.BarnsBB.com![]()
One cool thing is that they have a moderator that is a Professional Engineer that peeks in from time to time and answers questions about designs and construction.
