Last night I got into my stand at 3:45. I sat there for a bit chilling out .I told myself to wait til 5:30 until i got out one of my calls. It was still pretty light out so I waited til 5 of 6. I did 5 soft grunts and started scanning for deer. I turned to my right to look into the thick bedding area behind me. I saw something white that looked out of place at about 50 yds. It's so thick in there you have to crawl around to get through. The white patch started moving. I picked up my Exomax for a better look .Then his head emerged from the thicket. Damn! That's a nice rack. He turned to his left and started walking right to me. He jumped over a log and stopped. I put the crosshairs right on his chest. Come on Buddy you got to turn so I can take the shot. He looks right up at me. For about 30 secs he doesn't move. Finally he puts his head down to pick something up. He turns again to his left to go back where he came from. I squeeze the trigger. My video cam fall off my quiver mount.Stupid me in my haste to get set up,forgot to tighten the velcro strap on the cam. I look down to see where it is,and then up to see where he went. He's gone.I'm second guessing myself on the shot.I know I had the crosshairs lined up right behind his shoulder. I sit there for about a min and I hear a branch break, and then all kinds of stuff was getting busted up. Then it got real quiet.I sat there ofr around 5 mins and slowly lowered my crossbow. I check my video cam and its still running. I work my way over to the log. I get about 10 yds from it and I see my arrow stuck about 6 inces in the log. IT'S SOAKED IN BLOOD!! I follow a blood trail we all dream of, A solid line of red for about 60 yds. I come to the area where he was thrashing around in,but he's not there. I look down to the right and there HE IS!! THis is when I finally realize what the white patch is, It's a solid white patch of thick coarse hair right over his back .Pretty Cool looking. He has a 17" spread and weight 145 on my friends scale . He was the 14th buck that I have seen this year.

Bolt Cutter Broadhead. Yes, I did capture everything of him coming in,and as soon as I shot. The camera fell off from the discharge of the arrow. I'm trying to edit the video because it's too long, it layed there on the ground and recorded almost 8 mins total.

Congratulations nice buck, When I first seen the patch on the back I thought it was where someone had shaved him with a broadhead from a missed shot.Thats definitely odd.
