how many twist is to many

Ok I have two stock excel strings one that has been stretching sine Feb. The other one that iv had since the same time and I can't get it to stretch in so I can't get the same brace hight with both strings unless I put ton of twist in it. I wish I could remember who many the one has in it the one that won't stretch only has one. Iv read tons of post on how to get one to stretch but no luck. So its a new stringor put more twist in the other. Any ideas? Thanks

I put 4 complete twists CCW on brand new Excel strings .

How is the POI with each string? If it's OK I wouldnt worry about it. I've shot several of the excels from new to 300 shots and do not see POI change too much, or see it change from string to string.

Put the shorter one on the bow and leave it cocked overnight a time or two............

I have no idea how much is too much, but my Excel string has 12 twists.

but shoots great.

I could be wrong but as long as brace height stays the same you cant put to much twist just have to keep an eye on the serving an string for wear.I shoot the flemish and have to ad a twist or two here n there to keep the same brace height i use my s5s as my gauge.

Thanks everyone for the replys I'm going to start by shooting them one after the other to see poi from one to the other then ill untwist the one just to see how any are in it thanks again

I have a FFF and it has XXX twists and still getting longer.
Don't know what to do as I plan to add the STS/ S5 what ever they call it.
Not sure I can get it short enough with that string to keep it off the rubber bumpers.

Sorry, needed to go count. Maybe 40 twists in it or so if I counted correctly.
As it set, it is about on the low brace line, so I would need to twist more to get the S5 to fit.
It was a new Excal string. Shot it 5 times maybe...
