My camo is wearing off also and I hardly shoot as much as most of you, but I also use the C2 Crank which has a finer string and it makes sense it would cut into the camo coating more than the regular cocking string. It does not bother me at all, but I do wonder why that channel guide is not a wee bit deeper, I do find myself sometimes getting the string out of the guide and up into the saftey.

Mine has no color, but I don't think it ever did. Cocking the bow shouldn't cause wear, the rope stays stationary if you are pulling evenly. I can certainly see how a hole from the mould pour would cause wear though. Can you sand it smooth so you can hunt, then send it in when your done?

Again, thank you for all this help, all you guys..
i sent the picture, via your address.... i hope that helps to clear this up,, Dan Miller told me to continue with this Axiom,, until it fails. and Excalibur will take care of it.. Our hunt goes til Jan.1st, or until i'm out of kill tags.. I shot one with the covert, and i'm down to 3.
I did injection molding at fords, bumpers, until i retired.. i know you can get air pockets, that need to be drilled from the inside,,[that could weaken that area] so they don't expand in the paint oven. and when the mold is 'shot'. it is a mix that has to be uniform.
we never had a problem with that aspect. but had many air pockets,
again, thank you.
hunting is my escape, without that, all i have is, the drudgery of doing wood...

I have two bows and no wear yet but I don't de-cock with the rope very often.
was wondering about that,,that was my 1st thought,, but was worried about the rope slipping off.. maybe i worry too much

The rope material should have little or no effect on the stock material unless it got dropped into the dirt and picked up some fine sand.
Exposed to the elements on an atv or in the truck bed may contaminate it.
I keep mine protected all the time.

To prevent further wear you could apply a little nail polish or epoxy to protect the groove from further erosion.

Guess i'm gonna be waxing that rope. Don't think i want to do much more,
u know i'll be looking at it after every cock. Dan Miller said to use it til it breaks.. But he did not see the picture....[that is plastic you see, flaking off.]
i bought this new, last friday. shot it saturday, and not since..less then 30 shots, and no more then 4 decocks with the rope.ddmcgee

i just looked again at the rope,,,,,it looks fine, it be a couple days old.........
When it wears to the metal,, i'm gonna have to stop usen the cocker..
I know Excalibur will take care of me...but that will put a damper on my deer hunting...i do have one more question..when i sighted in, i noticed, that i got random clicks with the windage and elevation dials, and it 'free wheeled' much of the time. I've got a bunch of scopes,, and never came across this before.
I went back to the bow shop, and another he had there, did the same..
Dan Miller said not to worry about that, as long as i'm dialed in, but i thought,, the clicks, hold the dials in position...? Thanks for getten back to me.
i'm kind a at a loss here....

I don't knowed nutten about those scopes that come Axiom's. If'en its holdin at the yardage yer shootin all is ok. If'en it ain't ship it back fer another one. Put a rifle scope on it & sight in fer 30 yds. & hold several inches low fer 20

i just, a few days ago, sent back a ,,,guess it was 3 weeks old, Carbon Express
covert SLS.. i liked that scope, but had to have it lit to the lowest level,
that was a scary bow. kept waiting for it to blow up when a cranked it to cock it.. The safety jammed in the safe position, with a buck in front of me.
shop had to de string it.. he had problems in his vice with those lil limbs...
twas a piece of chinnese junk,, i knew better too.......design was awsome though. nice scope

Worried about a little camo where it can't be seen? Really? You are concerned about nothing.
